Bio

Jav Rivera has been writing music since the mid-90s and began his recording career when he was hired to compose music for films. He has been described as a modern blend of a 1970s singer/songwriter. Categorized as alternative, there are echoes of progressive rock, folk and blues. A mixture of José González and Pink Floyd, Jav combines heartfelt folk with experimental production.

Jav has produced four studio albums (three under the pseudonym “Tino Ghost”), as well as compositions for films and a tribute album. Recording under his indie label, 2nd Floor Basement, Jav has established his unique blend of psychedelia and folk-rock.
